Look Up Green Lake County Jail Records

Green Lake County inmate records require a practical jail roster search strategy because the county does not publish a live official inmate-search portal. Current jail custody, court charges, state prison status, and federal or immigration detention can each sit in a different system. To look up Green Lake County inmates, start with the local jail for recent arrests and county sentences, then move through notification, court, state corrections, and federal custody sources when the person is not confirmed locally.

Green Lake County Jail Roster Overview

No official Green Lake County live jail roster or public inmate-search portal was located on the county government's Sheriff, Corrections, Clerk of Courts, Circuit Court, or District Attorney pages. Unofficial roster sites may look exact-match in search results while still being outside the county system. For a recent arrest, local sentence, local warrant hold, or pending Green Lake County court matter, the first official route is the Green Lake County Correctional Facility phone line at 920-294-4059.

The fallback chain is jail phone, Wisconsin VINE, WCCA/CCAP, sheriff records request, Wisconsin DOC, then BOP, U.S. Marshals, or ICE when federal or immigration custody is involved. The county jail is operated by the Sheriff's Office and holds pretrial detainees, sentenced county jail inmates, Huber-eligible people, and people reporting under county judgments. State prison and supervision records belong to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, not the jail. Federal prison records belong to the Bureau of Prisons after sentencing, while immigration detention uses ICE's Online Detainee Locator System.

Local app note: No official Green Lake County Sheriff mobile app with inmate, warrant, or mugshot lookup was located in the Green Lake County research.

Official Roster and Search Fields

The official Green Lake County pages do not expose a public roster form with name, booking number, or date filters. Use this table as the official access map, not as a promise that an online county roster exists.

How Do I Find Someone in the Green Lake Jail?

Because the county does not publish a live roster, a name search has to follow the custody path instead of one search box.

  1. Call the Green Lake County Correctional Facility at 920-294-4059 for a recent arrest, local sentence, jail report date, or possible Green Lake County hold.
  2. Use extension 3 for visitation scheduling and extension 2 for emergency inmate messages.
  3. Search Wisconsin VINE or call 888-868-4633 when the goal is custody status or notice of a release, transfer, or other custody change.
  4. Search Wisconsin Circuit Court Access for Green Lake County criminal, traffic, or forfeiture cases once charges or court events have been filed.
  5. If the person was sentenced to state prison or is on Wisconsin supervision, use the Wisconsin DOC Offender Locator.
  6. For federal custody, search the BOP inmate locator after federal sentencing. For federal pretrial custody questions in this area, the U.S. Marshals Eastern District of Wisconsin is the relevant district contact path.
  7. For immigration detention, use ICE ODLS by A-Number and country of birth or by biographical data and country of birth.
  8. For a booking record, incident report, or booking photo that is not online, request records from the Green Lake County Sheriff's Records and Civil Process channel by email.

The Wisconsin VINE portal is the official statewide custody-notification route linked in the Green Lake County research.

VINE is useful when the question is current custody status or notification, but it is not a full jail booking file, police report, or mugshot archive.

County Jail, DOC, Federal, and ICE Records

A Green Lake County arrest can begin in the jail, move into WCCA when a court case is filed, and later move into Wisconsin DOC if a state prison sentence is imposed. Those systems do not update each other as one public profile. A person booked today into the county jail may not appear in DOC, while a person transferred to state prison may no longer be confirmable through the county jail. Federal and immigration custody are separate again.

The Wisconsin DOC general information page explains the divide between DOC adult institutions and local city or county jails.

That distinction is the reason a Green Lake jail search should not stop at DOC when the person may still be in local pretrial custody.

Green Lake County Correctional Facility Contact

The jail and the sheriff's corrections page are the local starting point for custody questions. The facility is a county jail, not a state prison, and the official county Corrections page describes it as a 108-bed facility completed and operational in July 2010.

Booking and Check-In Details

Green Lake County does not publish a complete new-arrest booking timeline, but its official check-in packet gives local detail for sentenced people ordered to report to jail. A person serving a Green Lake County jail sentence must contact Corrections Administration to schedule the report or check-in time required by the judgment of conviction. Once set, the report date cannot be canceled or rescheduled without proper approval. The county packet warns that failure to report to jail is a criminal offense and cites Wis. Stat. 946.425.

On the report date, the person is told to report on time to the Green Lake County Correctional Facility lobby, park in the lot near the facility entrance, and expect drug and alcohol testing. Bring addresses and phone numbers for people the person may call, full names, addresses, and dates of birth for the visitor list, money for the admissions or hygiene kit, commissary funds, and needed prescription medications. The visitor list is capped at five adult visitors.

Allowed check-in items include prescribed medications, dentures and case, prescription glasses or contact lenses and case, non-Polaroid photos within the county limit, contact lists, and commissary funds. Do not bring cigarettes, lighting materials, non-prescription medication, cell phones, electronic devices, tools, knives, weapons, or personal hygiene items. For a new arrest, the ordinary path is arrest, transport, identity check, search, property inventory, screening, fingerprints and photo if taken, charge or hold entry, classification, housing, phone access, and a bond or first court event, but the exact timing is not published as an online roster update.

Before a visit can be scheduled, the inmate must submit an Inmate Visitor List with visitor name, date of birth, address, and phone number. Visitors should be ready to show photo ID and follow the county's conduct rules.

Money, Phone, Mail, and Property Basics

Mail for a Green Lake County inmate uses the jail address: 571 County Road A, Green Lake, WI 54941. Envelopes must include the sender's full name and return address. The county does not allow graffiti, heavily soiled mail, perfume, cologne, liquids, Polaroids, pre-stamped envelopes, stamps, writing paper, contraband, packages, or boxes. Mail cannot be dropped off in person and must go through the U.S. Postal Service.

Money may be deposited at the jail lobby kiosk by cash or debit card. The county lists a $2 cash transaction fee and a 10 percent debit transaction fee. Credit cards are not accepted at the jail kiosk. Money orders and certified checks issued by a financial institution are accepted by mail only. Third-party checks, cashier's checks, and personal checks are not accepted, and no in-person money of any kind may be dropped off outside the kiosk process.

Reliance Telephone handles inmate phone services for the county. For phone issues or account setup, use Reliance customer service at 1-800-896-3201 or the vendor's website. The Reliance Green Lake facility page lists voicemail at 920-252-4664. Emergency inmate messages go to 920-294-4059 ext. 2, where correctional staff review the message and decide whether action is taken. For property pickup, the inmate must complete a Property Release Form at least 24 hours in advance, and the named pickup person must present photo ID in the correctional facility lobby.

Before sending money or scheduling a visit: confirm custody with the jail because release, transfer, classification, or a court hold can change quickly.

State and Federal Locator Screens

The Wisconsin DOC Offender Locator is the official public portal for people in DOC custody or supervision after a state sentence.

Use DOC when the Green Lake County jail can no longer confirm local custody because the person has moved into a state prison or supervision record.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator is the official federal search portal for BOP custody from 1982 to the present.

BOP results are not Green Lake County jail records and are not mugshot galleries; they identify federal custody status, release-date information, and location fields when the person is in BOP data.
